FilmTec
™ Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis 4" Elements can separate salts from water and are produced with an automated fabrication process that ensures precision, consistency, and reliability. They are ideal for use in medium-sized water treatment systems that produce less than approximately 10 gym (2300 L/h) of permeate. Filmtec's RO membranes build on a tradition of leadership in the thin-film composite membrane industry and meet the challenges of higher rejection in lower-pressure operations.

FilmTec™ BW30-4040 Elements are an industry standard for reliable operation and production of high quality water in light industrial applications. This element features the thickest feed spacer (34 mil) available in the industry today to lessen the impact of fouling as well as a fiberglassed shell, which is recommended for systems with multiple-element housings containing three or more membranes, as they are designed to withstand higher pressure drops. The elements may be cleaned over a wide pH range (pH 1 - 13) for the most effective cleaning.

a. Maximum temperature for continuous operation above pH 10 is 95°F (35°C).
b. Refer to Cleaning Guidelines in specification sheet 609-23010.
c. Under certain conditions, the presence of free chlorine and other oxidizing agents will cause premature membrane failure. Since oxidation damage is not covered under warranty, it is recommended that residual free chlorine be removed by pretreatment prior to membrane exposure. Please refer to technical bulletin 609-22010 for more information
