Nelsen Arsenic Reduction Systems feature the Nelsen 7000PID Arsenic Reduction Control Valve and LayneRT™ adsorption media. The 7000PID is a non-backwashing controller programmed for the specific water chemistry for each installation. The controller indicates the capacity of system and the remaining safe levels of media adsorption. LayneRT is a proprietary, durable, arsenic selective media, developed as a significant improvement on the efficiency and longevity of traditional arsenic media. It is a reliable, high capacity technology that effectively reduces arsenic to safe levels without wasting any water or sending any waste water back into the environment through the drain.

These systems are designed to reduce arsenic to less than 0.010 mg/L. Actual performance of the system may vary depending on specific water chemistry and conditions at the consumer's installation. Following installation of this system, the installation site should have the treated water tested for arsenic to verify arsenic reduction is being achieved and the system is functioning properly.

A full Arsenic Speciation Test Package (Arsenic Raw, Arsenic Treated, Iron, Manganese, pH, Sulfate o-Phosphate, Silica, Vanadium) needs to be performed to properly treat and pre-treat the water. A variety of water parameters will effect the life of the media and soem parameters will allow leaching of Arsenic through the system.
