Commercial Water Softeners
Commercial Water Softener Systems — 30 to 200+ GPM
Commercial water softeners for hotels, restaurants, car washes, laundries, breweries, and industrial facilities with high-volume softening requirements. ForeverPure Place supplies single-tank and twin-alternating (duplex) systems engineered around Fleck and Clack control valves, high-capacity mineral tanks, brine tanks, and premium ion-exchange resin — sized to your flow rate, water hardness, and duty cycle.
How to Size a Commercial Water Softener
Three numbers drive the right system: peak flow (GPM), water hardness (grains per gallon), and daily water use (gallons). Multiply daily gallons by hardness to get the grains removed per day, then choose a grain capacity that lets you regenerate on a sensible schedule. Our team sizes the resin volume and valve flow rating so the softener keeps up with peak demand without channeling or hardness bleed-through.
Single-Tank vs Twin-Alternating (Duplex)
- Single-tank, metered — best for facilities that can tolerate a short overnight regeneration window. Lowest cost.
- Twin-alternating (duplex) — delivers continuous soft water 24/7; one tank stays in service while the other regenerates. Required for car washes, laundries, and any process that cannot see hard water.
Applications We Equip
Hospitality (hotels, resorts), food service and restaurants, commercial laundries, car washes, breweries and beverage, cooling-tower makeup, boiler feed pretreatment, and reverse-osmosis pretreatment to protect downstream membranes from scaling.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What size commercial water softener do I need?
A: Size on peak GPM and total grains of hardness removed per day. As a rule of thumb, match the valve to your peak flow and the resin volume to at least one full day of capacity between regenerations. Send us your flow rate and a water hardness number and we will spec it.
Q: Do I need a twin-alternating system?
A: If your facility cannot tolerate any interruption in soft water — car washes, laundries, continuous processes — yes. Otherwise a single-tank metered system regenerating overnight is more economical.
Q: Can a softener pretreat my RO system?
A: Yes. Softening ahead of reverse osmosis is one of the most effective ways to prevent calcium and magnesium scaling on RO membranes and extend membrane life.
