Both are self-priming and can lift from a shallow well, a tank or a cistern — SCALA2 up to around 26 feet of suction lift — which is what separates them from a plain booster pump that must be flooded.

Common questions

Is SCALA2 self-priming?

Yes, up to roughly 26 feet of suction lift, so it can draw from a tank or shallow well rather than needing a flooded suction.

Does SCALA2 need a separate pressure tank?

No. Tank, sensor, controller and check valve are built in.

SCALA1 or SCALA2?

SCALA2 for constant pressure with several outlets running at once; SCALA1 where a simpler fixed-speed booster will do.
