Deep Cycle Batteries
Deep-Cycle Tubular Flooded Lead-Acid Batteries for Renewable Energy Storage
ForeverPure Power deep-cycle tubular flooded lead-acid (FLA) batteries (SKU suffix .FLA) are engineered for off-grid solar, hybrid solar/wind, battery-backup, telecom, and stationary renewable-energy storage. Rated at the 20-hour discharge rate (the industry-standard rate for renewable-energy storage), each cell delivers 15–20 years of float service life at 25°C and 2,000+ cycles at 80% depth of discharge.
Why Tubular FLA for Solar Storage
- Deep-cycle tolerant — tubular positive plates resist shedding under daily 50–80% discharge cycles
- Longest-lived chemistry for stationary off-grid storage at a fraction of the cost of lithium
- Equalization recovers capacity — monthly controlled overcharge reverses sulfate buildup and acid stratification
- No thermal runaway risk unlike lithium-ion
- 99% recyclable — lead-acid is the most recycled consumer product in the United States
- No BMS required — compatible with every major inverter and charge controller (MPPT and PWM)
Every Standard System Voltage
- 12 Volt banks — small off-grid cabins, telecom shelters (240–816 Ah @ 20 hr)
- 24 Volt banks — mid-size off-grid homes (240–1,600 Ah @ 20 hr)
- 48 Volt banks — full-house off-grid, hybrid inverter systems (544–1,768 Ah @ 20 hr)
6-Hour vs 20-Hour Discharge Rate
The same physical cell is used for forklift (6-hour rate) and renewable-energy storage (20-hour rate). The difference is how capacity is reported — slower discharge delivers more total Ah. A 12-100-13 cell rated at 600 Ah @ 6 hr for forklift duty delivers approximately 960 Ah @ 20 hr in renewable storage duty (see conversion chart).
Inverter Compatibility (Float / Absorb / Equalize)
- 24V systems — Absorption 28.2–29.4 V, Float 26.4–27.4 V, Equalize 30.0 V
- 48V systems — Absorption 56.4–57.0 V, Float 52.2–54.0 V, Equalize 60.0 V
- Compatible with Outback, Schneider (Conext / XW+), Victron, Magnum, SMA Sunny Island, Sol-Ark, Morningstar, and all major MPPT charge controllers
