The FEDCO HPB Ultra is a hydraulic energy-recovery turbocharger rated to 124 bar (1,800 psi) — well above the 83 bar typical of conventional RO equipment — for ultra-high-pressure reverse osmosis, brine concentration and zero-liquid-discharge duty. Brine leaving the membranes drives a turbine wheel direct-coupled to a feed-side pump impeller, boosting feed pressure and cutting the load on the high-pressure pump. Flow range and transfer efficiency match the equivalent standard HPB frame; the Ultra buys pressure rating, not performance.
