The Polaris Scientific™ UVA-418HO is a 18 GPM commercial high-output ultraviolet water disinfection system. It delivers a minimum UV dose of 30 mJ/cm² at end of lamp life (EOL) at 254 nm — the germicidal wavelength — destroying bacteria, viruses, and protozoa (including E. coli, Cryptosporidium, and Giardia lamblia) without chemicals, and with no change in taste, odor, pH, or conductivity. The polished 304 stainless steel reactor chamber (316 SS available on request) and high-output low-pressure mercury vapor lamp with patented 4-pin design provide reliable, low-maintenance disinfection for residential and commercial reverse osmosis systems, water vending, food and beverage, and laboratory applications.

Water exceeding these levels can still be treated effectively but may require pre-treatment (filtration, softening, or iron removal) to reach treatable quality. UV dose ratings are based on 95% UVT at end of lamp life.
