📄 442 Standard Solution SDS (PDF)📄 Standard Solutions Instructions (PDF)📄 Standard Solutions & Buffers Application Bulletin (PDF)What it is for
The general-purpose conductivity/TDS standard, and the right choice for boiler and cooling water, city water supply, lakes and wells. Myron L developed the 442 blend because natural water varies widely in salt type and concentration; it has been the most widely accepted natural-water standard for over 55 years.
Reading in µS, ppm/442 or ppm/NaCl
Myron L conductivity instruments are calibrated to read in ppm/442, ppm/NaCl or microsiemens, and all three values are printed on every standard. Calibrate with the standard that matches the mode you actually read in, and pick a value near your working range. Myron L suggests recalibrating a daily-use conductivity instrument about once a month.
Safe to ship as ordinary freight
All Myron L standard solutions and buffers are classified DOT non-regulated with no UN number, and are non-hazardous for air transport under IATA/ICAO. The safety data sheet is linked above and should be read before handling. Signal word: none.
