Overview
The Piedmont grooved pipe Style P Coupling, 1.5 inch, 250 psi, Glass-Fiber-Reinforced Thermoplastic is a Piedmont flexible pipe coupling engineered for the demanding corrosion environment of reverse osmosis, desalination and industrial water treatment. The housing is manufactured from Glass-Fiber-Reinforced Thermoplastic (Composite Plastic) — completely corrosion resistant, providing the strength, ferritic balance and chloride-pitting resistance required for sea-water and brackish-water service.
Typical Applications
Permeate side of SWRO and BWRO; feed, backwash and permeate side of MF and UF systems; low-pressure sides of energy-recovery systems.
Key Features
- Working pressure rated at 250 psi (17 bar) per ASTM F1476.
- EPDM gasket, NSF/ANSI 61 approved for drinking water; choice of C-shape (allows expansion/contraction) or flush-fit (zero linear movement).
- 316 Stainless Steel round-head square-neck bolts (ASME B18.5) and 316 SS heavy-hex nuts.
- Ferritic inspection on every Duplex/Super Duplex casting per Piedmont QA program.
- Compatible with both cut-grooved and roll-grooved pipe per AWWA standards.
About Piedmont
Piedmont (acquired by H2O Innovation in 2021) was the first manufacturer to introduce Duplex and Super Duplex flexible couplings to the desalination industry. Piedmont products are referenced in over 50 countries and used in some of the world's largest desalination plants (Sorek, Carlsbad, Fujairah, Sydney, Tampa Bay).
