The Enpress ONE CT-03-CB is the high-capacity 3-micron carbon block from the Blue Filtration Series, made for the Enpress ONE Cartridge Tank. It reduces chlorine, bad taste and odour from potable water using surface-modified coconut-shell carbon — a carbon with more micropores than other types — bound in a proprietary binder system that gives it high adsorption capacity with a low pressure loss. One 8" × 40" block does the work of a rack of 2½" or 4½" housings, which is what the Cartridge Tank format is for.

What is in the block
- Coconut-shell carbon — chosen because it has more micropores than coal- or wood-based carbon, so more surface for chlorine, taste and odour to adsorb onto. NSF/ANSI 61 certified.
- Proprietary binder — holds the block together without closing the pores, which is what keeps the pressure drop low at 15 gpm.
- Polypropylene wrap and polyethylene netting — the outer layer that keeps carbon fines in and gives the block its handling strength.
- Handle top cap and double o-ring base — lift it out by the handle, drop the new one onto the adapter, no tools.
Flush a new block before use. New carbon blocks carry fine carbon dust; run water to drain until it runs clear before putting the system into service. Enpress recommends a drain on the outlet side of the Cartridge Tank for exactly this.
Not a disinfection device. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.
Where it is used
Point-of-entry filtration on city water where the job is chlorine, taste and odour; food service; commercial and industrial make-up water; polishing or pre-filtration ahead of equipment that needs fine filtration with high capacity. The 3-micron rating makes it the choice when you want particulate reduction along with the carbon, where the sister CT-20-CB trades that for a still lower pressure drop.
