The Danfoss APP 17/1200 (code 180B3255) is an axial piston high-pressure pump for seawater and brackish-water reverse osmosis. It is oil-free and water-lubricated — the pumped water itself lubricates the bearings, so there is no oil circuit to maintain and no path for oil to reach the permeate. All wetted parts are Duplex and Super Duplex stainless steel for seawater corrosion resistance.

Why an Axial Piston Pump for SWRO
In a positive-displacement axial piston pump, flow is set by displacement and shaft speed rather than by system pressure, so output stays stable as membranes foul and feed pressure rises. A centrifugal pump's output falls away as head increases; this one does not.
